Irish rock band U2 formed in 1976 while the members were still at school. Since then they have went on to become one of the biggest arena rock bands in the world.

Their unconventional guitar sound and knack for writing anthemic tunes has catapulted them into a multimillion album selling sensation.

They have released 12 studio albums selling over 140 million. U2 have also won many accolades including Grammys and being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band includes Bono on vocal, The Edge on guitar and vocals, Larry Mullen on drums and Adam Clayton on bass guitar.

U2 continue to tour and record albums.
